This Project has already removed too many living trees from the park.

The constant destruction of grass through car parking
in Yarra Park removes the protection grass provides against soil errosion and causes a dust bowl in dry windy conditions.

Broken bottles, broken windscreens, bottle tops and ring pulls, cigarette butts and packs are everywhere throughout the Yarra Park (MCG). Let’s have someone clean up the mess. Can you imagine what the ground surface will look like in a decade from now if nothing is done.

Contractors are breaking the rule of parking too close to trees in Yarra Park. These vehicles should be parked on the MCG concrete pavement and nowhere else.
